Welcome

The club was formed in late 1992 by a group of five or six skippers who were mainly interested in sailing and racing the radio controlled 6 metre class.

During the club's history we have hosted a number of important events including national championships and regional heats and continue to do so.

In the first few years the membership increasing to around thirty, a situation that is maintained today

Over time interest in the 6 metre class declined with the popular 1 metre class (IOM) growing rapidly and taking its place.

The club then developed racing for the Laser class and currently some eight members sail this class regularly with the programme now split 50/50 with IOM's to include handicap racing as well as scratch.

The club has a strong program of competitive events sailed for on Sunday's but we also sail on Wednesday afternoons with a more casual approach to our sport! We also have some fun day events on selected Sundays in the summer (see Calendar)

The club is affiliated to the Model Yachting Association, the national body that develops and controls the sport in the UK.

We have excellent sailing water at Furzton Lake with a variety of race courses available for our use.

If you are interested in the sport of model yacht racing please come along to the lake on a Sunday, make yourself known, and we will be pleased to help in any way possible.
